weary traveler

this was the first long road trip for our dog Duncan.  He was so good in the car too.  most of the trip he slept getting up for water, treats and potty stops is all.



of course we brought along his favorite blanket and a new toy to keep him company.

bet you are glad I finally got somewhere with all these posts right? haha well I am the weekend warrior so need to spread out the trip.

we stopped for lunch here and enjoyed the view.  so proud of our little chunky monkey dog for making the trip too.  he is really a couch potato and its hard for those little legs to go but he did.  and of course he got some good lunch too.  one quick pose and we were headed back down the mountain.

The tree and decorations are up and Duncan has decided to dress up a bit for the moment.  hmmm looks like someone needs a haircut.  looks more like a pauper waiting for his coal for christmas. hahaha.

time for the annual dog in the leave shot.

with fall comes less traveling and less time outside for me because I really hate the cold so posts may come a little less often but may try some new techniques on older pictures and other ideas to keep my motivated so you never know what will show up next.

working on some ideas for 2012 to present when they are all ready to go I will announce them. Anything you would like to see more of or less of or new???

magic trick

this is duncan as a pup.  He is such a cutie. Little did he know he would be subject for my photo experiments.

My song challenge is almost done.  I missed a couple of days near the end here just been a little to busy.

the song is from 1977 when I was about 12 gads that was a long time ago.

the song is actually a country song gone pop.

the clue from teh picture is color.

that gave it to you, well at least those of that were born before the song was made.

i just always remember this song it is a bit sad but I have always liked it.

FOCUS

My late night buddy waiting for me to hit the pillow looks at me with intesne focus   He is a sweet dog always my white shadow and always my reluctant model.

I like to focus my attention on the things I love in life.  Family, friends, my animals, and my passions.

I have been a bad blogger with the only excuse that I have been to busy, sick or tired to take any new pictures.  but I do have this lovely shot of my favorite subject from a short while ago. 



of course over the weekend we have had a bit of warm weather if you call mid 40's warm and all the snow has just about disappeared.  of course I am not disappointed.  Snow is pretty in the winter on the trees and such but on the streets no not in the least.

Duncan doesn't really like the snow but the other night I forced him to run around in the snow to get some exercise and energy out.

light me up

putting up a few decorations and checking the lights hubby decided duncan would be pretty all lit up.  He was none to happy and as fate would have it this was the only shot I got. 

Just as I was taking this picture the other hand was on my cell phone.  son was on the other line explaining he was just in an accident and it looks like his car is totalled.  If we didn't have bad luck we would have none at all.  Poor kid (20) just can't catch a break.  Looks like it was the other drivers fault but his car isn't worth much blue book value.  It was reliable transportation to work though now he is bumming rides.  Airbags deployed and burned part of his brand new jacket but at least he didn't burn his hands and thank GOD he wasn't hurt other then sore, stiff, tired and in shock. 

cold and snow

so cold even the dog is looking for ear muffs. lol  well not really but he did look cute with them on.

Still snowing in Spokane.  more to come looks to be a long winter

this is the snow after the first shoveling early thanksgiving morning.  no new pictures today because I have been shoveling shoveling shoveling oh and a little Christmas shopping today.
