One of the best outdoor quilt shows is near bend oregon the second july  in 35 years this was the first year they had rain.  about 230 it poured and they started pulling all the quilts down.  sad for the vendors because this is a big money maker day for them.

luckly for us we had ducked into a restaurant for a drink.

pike place market

pike place market has got to be the second most thought of place to go when going to Seattle.  the first of course being the space needle.




the day we rolled in the weather was of so lovely.  oh wait we are in Seattle where yes it does rain, if you call drizzle all day rain.  I live on the dry side of the state you cross over those mountains and its like going to a whole new world.

It is a great place to stop if you ever go always fun to people watch and you never know what treasure lies inside.  my suggestion go during the week.  this was taken friday midday by saturday this would not have been possible.

I may bore you with photos of the market but it was fun to play a little with some shots.

on a trip to the walla walla balloon festival to see the hot air balloons we came across this field of yellow in milton-freewater  not sure what it is eactly might be mustard might be something else.  anyway it looked really cool before the rain set in.

we never did see any balloons to much weather issues that weekend.  still had fun though   always make the best of what you are given is what I say.

well it is a gray, cold and wet day outside. winter blahs have started in the pacific northwest.  what does everyone take pictures of on days like this???

my pay it forward today was actually done months ago when we bought some tickets for tonight's transiberian orchestra we bought extra and secretly gave to someone that is getting laid off Christmas eve.  that really sucks and she has always wanted to see them.  hopefully she doesn't read this blog.
