blue

My nephew and one of the brothers (not his dad)sitting under a sign that amused me.

Time to leave the cayman islands. Sigh. It is such a beautiful place. the water is so clear and a beautiful blue color. I would go back in a heart beat.

da dum da dum da dum

well not exactly sharks but sting rays. you have to shuffle your feet on the sandbar so you don't accidentally step on one. their barbs are sharp but unless they thrust one into you they are pretty safe.

We headed out to stingray city and swam with them. It was the coolest thing I have ever done I think. They are so like cats they rub up against you hoping to get a treat. i didn't feed any but kissed one and held one.

this is the eye of the stingray kinda weird. Not a bad picture for a disposable water camera, didn't want to chance taking my camera in the water.

when you lift them up they spit at you. totally funny when it spit all over a lady.

to hell and back

One stop along the way to the main attraction was a trip to hell. This famous spot is not much of a spot but it does have a post office and a place where everyone drops a post card or two.

This is it. Hell. Just amount of land made up of limestone that looks as if it could be hell.

Funny story: we were on the bus waiting on one more person to head to the main attraction (tease for tomorrow) when a lady on the bus mentions her husband is still in the post office. She also mentions it is his birthday and that he is a minister. Now his sermons he can really talk about being to hell and back. He was in the post office sending post cards to many people apparently. Hmmm wouldn't that be weird to get a post card from hell from your pastor, he must have a good sense of humor. And of course we all sang happy birthday to him when he came back on the bus.

Crush!!!!!!!!

he soooo looks like crush. they all did!!!! We stopped at the turtle farm and learned more about these creatures that can live up to 150 years imagine that. there were all sizes from a year to 90 at the farm and we held several of the smaller ones.

their shells are gorgeous and they all have the same design on their shells. And they really really like their necks rubbed.

I took a lot of shots of turtles (almost as many as birds) but I liked how this one looked.

well I have to share this shot my hubby took of me. Crush is giving you all a high five.

don't mess with me

these were running around all over the place at the turtle farm (opps shouldn't have said that so that's the heads up for tomorrow). they aren't the blue iguanas that the caymans are famous for but he was colorful, I really liked how the spikes on his back stood up for this shot made me think he was saying just don't mess with me.

well now you know our destination a western Caribbean cruise. there were 41 of us on the cruise and we had the best relaxing, fun filled and WARM weather time. It was awesome
