I have only first heard it recently on another "photo" website.

to slow

i put this up every year in my window and never see a hummingbird.  well this year I am outside painting the trim around the new garage doors and what do I see a little hummer.  And of course no camera grrrr.   better luck next time I guess.

Successful weekend of chores around the house.  round two next weekend.  All my travels lately have left a few things undone and with summer already half over the big chores need to get done soon.  sighhhh I still would rather be traveling. 

2 flicker

well I am not starting the year out very good am I? well I will keep at it. This morning we had a little visitor a flicker at least that is what I think it is. They are similar to a woodpecker I believe.
I was rather pleased at how sharp he came in after I blew him up. Taken with only a 105mm lens and through a window. not on a try pod and on my tippy toes.


This was my husbands favorite shots. I had to laugh because it happened as I was standing on my tippy toes trying to get tot he top of the window because the bottom section has a screen that runs through it. so while I was trying to do that I fogged up the window a bit. Guess that is one way to get a fog effect. yes yes I am short and I know it but I make do

I bought a new feeder over the weekend and decided that it would go outside my dining room window. No visitors yet but hopefully soon.

today was a lazy day one of our group had to leave (sniff that was sad) so we stayed around the house most of the day only to venture to go to the airport. We did watch the birds in the backyard a bit this is a downy woodpecker (I hope) everyone saw the cardinal all week except me. well I did see a little red dot in a tree but that doesn't count in my book. After the airport we did hit a store in Dover that was fun then came home to a great meal cooked by our hosts husband. We plopped our butts in front of the TV and watched the DVR of the end of survivor, idol and dancing with the stars.
