Family fun

Taken at Easter and locked in the camera then lost in Lightroom because I screwed up in the naming of. Finally found it. Only got off a couple of shots before the dog tried to be evil knievel and did a header scaring my niece. All turned out fine but everyone was no longer in the mood so this is the best of the three.

We do goofy things as a family sometimes and thought this would be fun. And not an instagram or phone shot!!!!!!

graduation challenge

just a quick post tonight. I haven't been feeling good but finally dosed up enough with meds that I was able to go to my neices high school graduation. this is one shot that I liked. Challenging to take a non flash shot in an opera house from far back of a moving subject with lights that are not consistant on the stage. I pumped up the iso to get this one. the only post production done to this cropping

by the way is she not gorgeous???? will try to post a few more.

11 old times

No new pictures today. My husband is in the process of scanning in all of my dad's old slides. many many boxes of them none of which are in any order. He ran into these three and I thought my how we have come far in so many year.

The above picture is my mom's parents probably 28 years ago. The Polaroid picture on the mantle is a picture of me in my Jr year of high school school. miss you gram and gramps.

Here is myself and my brother ages 4 (me) and my brother at 2.

and a little earlier when I was about 2 and my brother was only a few months old. We now live in this house that use to be my dad's parents house. little has changed except some of the bushes and there is now a bay window in the front. Oh and a new light.


from slides, to instant cameras like Polaroids to digital age. Pictures and picture taking will always be a part of our society. I wonder what a picture will be like in another 40 years? whole lifetime of pictures in a chip under our skin??

88/365 March 29

On our visit to Vegas we rented a car and headed to the valley of fire. the red rocks were awesome. we hiked around for about 4 hours. It was the highlight of Dave's trip.

well I just had to add a second photo for the 365. On our way back from the valley of fire we got a call from Dave's niece and she was in Vegas for the day. It was an awesome surprise so we met up with her at Mandalay bay and had a few drinks and lots of talk together. She was with some friends of hers and they wanted to try the minus 5 below bar. Everything was made from Ice including the glasses that held our apple martinis. Truly a fun experience made hundred times better because of her visit.
