long time no see I know just haven't had time or ambition to do the blog lately but something happen today that changed that. at least for today.
we went to for a hike and on the way there we saw these awesome fields of sunflowers and said on the way back we would stop.
on the way back there were many stoppers this field surely put smiles on many faces today. wish I knew who owned it so I could say thanks.

The fields are located just on the other side of the main strip of deer Park on highway 395 headed north.

another run/walk up tower mountain in the ice and snow. training for the longest run I have done in April with lots of hills. 21 miles at big sur. kind of scary but exciting all the same.
we went so high up we were above the fog on this day normally you could see the city below.
sometimes you just have to say it to the world
just loved that this was on a gate up a mountain
well that is about it for a week now till I get my next batch processed from our recent trip.
on a recent long walk I saw this funny little face put into a tree. It was a long walk/run 10 miles that day. in preparation for another 1/2 marathon in Vegas in December. It made me smile and made me push through the next few miles.
As a child I went to this dentist office not far from where I live now. Its still a dentist office though they have remodled it and I don't think you can see this sign anymore from inside. the best i can recall it is well over 30 years old.
It use to comfort me to look outside and look up in the tree and see this sign. No clue if it ever was part of the actual show but doesn't really matter. shouldn't we always try to find a smile in life???
today's song is one that you listen to when you are angry. well I don't get angry often but when I am having a bad day at work I flip on this YouTube and it always makes me smile. opps there is your first hint.

the photo is of a clay sculpture we have in our living room. I loved the way the light was shining up on his face but to make it more interesting I added a texture by bliss and holly to it
it starts with a cake ball. to learn how to make them see teh bakarella website. they are to die for no matter what the outside is. and so much fun to make.
mom came over to help roll them
and boy a messy hand they make. you have to wash them every couple of rolls
after they are rolled and dipped in chocolate tinted yellow they are ready for the faces.
ok so maybe not faces. after trying gel frosting and regular frosting I opted for no faces.
should have waited for my book to come in the mail. It solved all my problems I needed to use edible pens to write on them duh...
Happy Birthday to me. I took the day off today to just laze around when the doorbell rang and this arrived.
Now those of you that know me know I love Pepsi. but I have some really special friends that are coke drinkers and we always go back and forth with the coke and Pepsi war in a very friendly playful way. But this well this takes the cake I laughed so hard the delivery driver for sure thought i was crazy. but on a rainy day when you are feeling old you can always count on a good friend to lift your spirits.
so for today the old coke saying "have a coke and a smile" has a special place in this Pepsi house.
