montana july 2011_1834

so did you guess yesterday's destination?  we are at the Bison national refuge about 40 miles outside of Missoula Montana.

montana is called big sky country for a reason.   big beautiful mountains, skys and plains.
this is the side of the range that can be seen from the highway.

Next stop for $5.00 a car load, 19 miles on a gravel road and some animals that only a few people ever get to see this close.

  1. Pre-parenthood our last vacation was to Montana and Wyoming hiking in Glacier, Yellowstone and The Tetons and I just loved Montana. Can't wait to see your photos of the next part of your trip.
