My husband and I attempted this hike about 5 or so years ago in march when it happen to about 40 degrees.  we didn't have the right clothes and about froze to death at the first switchback between the cold air and the altitute we didn't go any further.  this time was different.  it was 85 degrees and we were determined to make the short 3/4 mile destination. Located behind the university of montana (dad went there many years ago so its a special place for me)
