goal !!

My goals - get stronger and healthier run/walk my next half marathon in less then 3:12 and fund raise 2,500 for the leukemia and lymphoma society.

my newest toy about a month now it is a Nike fuel band.  helping me keep on track with at least 10000 steps a day.  discovering most days I sit on my butt at work and need to move more and eat less.  but there are many days that i really move around a lot at work more then I thought at work.

why 10,000 steps??? well that is about equivalent to 5 miles and was a national standard goal put out by the diabetic society for a healthier life.

how many steps do you take a day?? I challenge you to start tracking it  you can get a small pedometer you don't need a fancy device to help you with this.  start out with a typical day and then try to add at least a 100 steps till you are comfortable then keep adding more steps a day till you reach 10000 then pat yourself on the back and start adding a few more steps each day.  remember these can be walking steps you don't have to compete in a marathon to be healthier.
