oahu - north shore

Spent about a half a day on a tour of the north shore of Oahu

loved this Buddhist temple with the mountain backdrop it seemed so peaceful







this was the best picture of the china hat taken from the bus







we stopped at several beaches along the way.  didn't get to see any turtles they were all out in the water




no stop to the north shore is complete without stopping here:


it takes  18 to 24 months to grow a pineapple wow no wonder they are spendy






we even found the painted euculyptus tree there



but hubby took the picture and didn't take any of the tree just the bark.  I was busy on the phone with the credit card company as we got a fraud alert while there   great service but put a damper on things for me for a bit.  it all worked out though.

so I had a little fun before heading back
