Heard some good things about Chaps which is not far from home and after seeing it on the food network we thought we would try out the breakfast. I had seen on Dinners, drive-ins, dives that hey had an awesome blueberry french toast.
it truly lived up to its name. more like a cake then french toast it was delicious (yes it was that color). along with some bacon (every meal needs some bacon) and some delicious red potatoes I was stuffed when we Left.
hubby had the chicken fried steak which he said was only so so but he said the dinner menu looked good and we would try that again.
one word of warning expect a wait if you go it has become very popular. Ordering is a bit odd. You walk in and go to the cashier (next to luscious pastry counter) and order and pay at the same time. menus are not to be found except at the check out which made hubby a bit miffed and stressed over having to decide and order with a line of people waiting behind him. not for those that like to think about what to order. No drinks listed on the menu either which bothered him.
given the rave review by myself and the so so review by my husband I guess we will have to try the dinner menu to come to a true review of the restaurant.
