i have been saving this shot for use on a texture tuesday.   this happens to be my favorite shot that I textured.  This was taken outside the Antietam inforamtion center.

jefferson's rock

this is at Harpers ferry.  Its just a short hike up to this rock.

Thomas Jefferson is said to have stood here on October 25, 1783.  He loved the view and is said to have said this was worth the voyage across teh atlantic

don't fence me in!!

these fences fascinated me to no end.  I believe they are split rail fences they helped steady guns for shooting during the civil war and provided some cover. 

this fence was at antitem battlefield.
