Today I had the pleasure of photographing triplet 7 month old babies. Now I have never photographed a baby before let alone 3 at one time. they were not the happiest today didn't sleep well but we tried. individually I got some good ones but getting them all three together and happy hahaha another thing. Wished I would have had a dark background as well the gowns would have shown up better.

today's project. we still have a lot more grass to dig up but between that area and one other area about 1/2 the size and trimming the tree the Green Bin (recycle) has no more room so the rest of the grass will wait till we have more room. Plus we need to make a couple more rock trips.

Hubby was so good to go get me a few rocks. well one of the rocks he decided I had to have was so big it took both his friend and himself to lift into the car. When transferring to the wheel barrel it popped the tire.





a few more of the rocks he picked up. just about all that the little Subaru baja could hold. we will need a few more trips to complete this project.

ever have a day where you are cranky and crabby and nothing seems to go right. every time you turn around you get another problem thrown at you. So off for comfort food for lunch and a little drive in the sunshine. Ironically though this was my fortune. As cranky as I was it brought me back down and I had a better afternoon. Still have lots of problems but at least I felt better about it.

shopping day. my favorite store Christopher and Banks had a VIP sale from 6 till 10pm. And not only was it a discount and my favorite store they had all their fall clothes in. so here is my bag of loot. I call it the teacher store because the clothes are conservative just my style

So hubby and I made cupcakes together. the above picture was our mistakes. never use cream cheese frosting it just isn't stiff enough .



These are much better. Dave did a much better job at the yellow flower part then I did. but they were so much fun to make

the lady bugs were only on the large size cupcakes. they are made from M n M's and black frosting. the leaves are fruit rollups.

we even made some that were double flowers.

follow the yellow brick road to the garland street fair. an annual event with the Wizard of Oz theme.

the street is painted with a yellow bricks to lead you through the maze of ....
vendors like the above tie dress vendor. how clever is that and very stylish.
the kids have plenty to do with lots of booths of games like the oz bean bag toss.
all the way to the end of the rainbow. mom is standing on the brick road under the rainbow.

226/365 august 14 dry falls

Hubby and I took a drive about 2 hours from home to dry falls. remnants of a massive flood many years ago this big whole in the ground is all that is left. the falls would have been 4 times bigger then Niagara falls.

eastern washington is actually a high desert and we can see so many reminders everywhere we go.

YEAH I was able to catchup on the blog. hope to not let it get so out of hand again. gesh what a pain.

Came home from work not feeling really well. staying close to the facilities is a necessity. But I surely didn't want a shot of that so took this outside of my neighbors shed. these birds were just having a good old time up there.

as many of you know I am a rubber stamper. one of my groups host a challenge called POV or point of view. you stamp an image and then everyone else in the room needs to do something with it. this was a tough one but managed to like what I did. I haven't stamped hardly at all lately just way to busy. but was able to do several stamped things tonight

I love quail they are such cool birds. So very social and protective of each other. since we have had the newest dog we haven't got them in the yard yet. Duncan loves to chase them out. but this morning before work I caught a glimpse of them on the back fence.

the mail man delivered a wrong magazine to our house and actually from the looks of it they really had no clue where it went as it had gone to several other places before it came to us. So thought cool a people haven't looked at one of those in a while. until I opened it. yeah can you see the problem??




yep its all in Spanish. now we are use to getting Chinese mail because of our last name but never Spanish mail. lol

went garnet digging with some family members. Outside of st. Maries Idaho in emerald creek you can pay 10 bucks to dig all day. they have a pile of mined dirt (more like clay) that you put into buckets.

Then sift out the lose soil as much as possible.

then take to the sluice to find your winnings.

yep thats me. LOTS of fun and good exercise

There is hubby just home from his karate class and on the phone with his sisters and brothers. only 3 live near each other. My husband and one other sister live miles away so its almost impossible to get them all in the same room as each other. So as in a new tradition (set last year) they toasted over the phone.
Dave is the yellow balloon. lol Another new tradition. (taken from a niece's cell phone)






Later they took an old picture of dave as a kid. Since he was the youngest he was always teased but dearly loved. At one point they were shipping him to Hong Kong. They altered it for the kick of it. gotta love family

For my son's birthday we fixed up his little car. He has a ford Aspire, great on gas but a not guts no glory car. Perfect for a 19 year old. Its 13 year old car with only 40k miles on it probably 20 of which he put on in the last 2 years himself. the only work done previously was a tune up and new tires. So he was due for the new brakes, muffler (hmmm now I can't hear him come home) and oil job. Decided it needed a good wash as well so here we are at the car wash.
