199/365 July 18 world wide photo walk

This was the day for the scott kelby worldwide photo walk now I am not a great photographer I am still learning to take it out of program mode but here are a few shots I did for the day. We worked our way down through the park and downtown area. the above shot Iliked but didn't submit as my favorite 2 for the day. Its our river front park area.

I almost submitted this but changed my mind. converedt a color photograph to black and white. This is a highend condo that is located on the river downtown. Through the bars of a walkway fence I took the photo and was going to call it A different kind of Jail.

I did submit the above photo and the one below.

this I titled road to prosperity.

The walk was awesome I will do it again next year if they do it and I encourage everyone to join to its a great way to meet others that like photography and learn more about what you see. There were point and shoot ametures and full fledge professional photographers and everything in between on the walk

sadly another day I was down for the count. So here is a picture from a few days earlier. I am thinking I need some of this for my yard. I just loved how it covered the rocks and area.

my son is the drummer in a band called Shadoya Jones. they play music I don't really care for but he loves it and is very good at drums so it keeps him busy several days a week. they recently ordered shirts and here they are. Of course being the supportive mom I ordered one of each. The band will use the profits from the shirts to finish recording their first cd.

my favorite subject again. this is one TIRED dog. long day of playing so he grabbed one of MANY babies and decided to use it as a pillow. spoiled I tell you spoiled.

ever take a really lousy picture but still love it?? well that's this one. Its out of focus and its my feet for crying out load. I was playing with my camera settings and found the black and white setting. (yeah I know had the camera forever and just now figuring it out) anyhow I was tired that night still not feeling well and was sitting in the rocking chair and took this shot.

i was to sick to do anything but stay in bed. thanks to hubby for sharing his cold with me. this was the worst day but the 2 weeks that followed I still have a cough. ugh so no pictures but had this from manito to share the color on this flower was so strange I just had to take a picture of it

last night for company my niece, mom and my son (just off work at mcdonalds)

was actually taking a picture of my tired pup but noticed my nieces jeans. would you pay 60 bucks for a pair of jeans like that?? hmmm maybe if I was 16 lol

as tradition holds true we always have a night of poker and card games. We were playing "screw your neighbor" one of our favorites and as it was down to two people the company cheered on. check out the white shirt that's my son's bands new shirts for sale and my cousin bought one. you will see them again as I bought some too.

family was here visiting from florida so we have several nights and days spent at moms and around town. This is my niece taken with a point and shoot (yeah the one I hate) but I just loved this shot of her. she has truely grown up into a beautiful young lady that will be graduating next year

my computer refused to turn on. thankfully it was a fairly easy and not a huge expense but still an expense I wasn't wanting. darn power supply.

the dog was happy to see us come home and hubby was exhausted from a day of driving. good thing he had already planned to take the day off to relax and it was good to have mom cook for us that evening.
