My day was spent boxing up this rolling shelf. I have it started in this picture. It took 38 boxes which I had to make as well. really tore up my hands. This represents 3 months worth of closed files in our office. yes we stay really busy.

I need a hair cut and an eyebrow job.

Hubby put up my new lights. One in the back and two in the front. I love them. we are slowly updating our 1952 rancher as money and time permits. this was a small and inexpensive fix. Its the little things that help sometimes. I love my house. Its small but with just the three of us its perfect and even more so it was my grandma's house. there are many memories here from my whole life.

Before the rain and dreariness hit I was able to grab a little bit of spring coming up in my back yard. Ugh its been a long winter. It looks like I will have a lot of work to do in April in the yard. But there is hope that better weather is coming.


Duncan and I were playing around so I grabbed the camera for this quick shot. I even got his tail in it. lol

Today was my 17 year old niece's Jr prom night. Isn't she gorgeous? I loved this shot of her I am not sure why but it was my favorite one of the batch I took. She has grown up into a smart and beautiful girl.



hmm face shot I remember for once. it took me about 15 shots to finally get one that was half way decent of the eye and I am still not happy with it but that's it I was done. hmmm good thing I have a hair and eye wax coming up soon

Oh I was so excited to finish this project. I had already painted the board with silver paint and was awaiting the arrival of my uppercase living order. My son is a drummer so I wanted to make him a nice plaque for the wall. I was going to save it to give to him for Easter but couldn't wait and gave it to him right away. I still need to put a picture hanging thing on the back so for now it will sit up on his dresser.

I think I will have to get myself one of these plaque holders. I am using the one I will be giving my mil and it comes in handy for photographing this type of thing. lol

Tonight was a fun night. My credit union holds its annual meeting at the Imax theater. we get free movie, popcorn, drinks and a candy. this years show was dinosaurs it was pretty good, not my favorite Imax but good. And how can't beet free? They also have drawings for prized and we have never won until this year. I got tickets tot he local baseball game and my nephew won as well and got tickets to a water park near by. All in all a great evening.

yeah the flowers have bloomed its starting to feel like spring. well at least in my office. Good thing about flowers when you look at them it makes you feel good. And since its been a horribly busy week this is a good thing

Light shopping . I want to replace my old outside lights so had to take a picture to make sure I can get one that fits.

Daffodil days. every year I buy daffodils and the Boyd's bear to support the American cancer society.


Hubby and I went to bar stool bingo at the eagles lodge where my mom works. we didn't win anything except a couple of Irish mugs as door prizes. but corned beef sandwiches and some fun it was a fun evening. the picture isn't the best it is from my phone but I loved it.

went shoe shopping today and this is the result 4 pairs of shoes. oh wait that's only 3 and why is that. well we actually went shopping for hubby and he found nothing but look at me I found 3 all on sale too. I almost got him to say how picky he was on camera too. But I wasn't fast enough with the video on my cell phone.

I made this today and love it. Its actually going to be a gift for my mother in law for mothers day but wanted to get it done. I got the stand at Real Deals (fun place lots of cool inexpensive but nice stuff) the board at Michael's ( yeah I went there I don't care for that place either) and the words are Upper Case living ( I have had them for many many months I think)

Its a light taupe base on the board and then some bronze lettering on top. I think it will go perfect in her kitchen and hubby thinks so too. I hope she likes it.


bonus shot. I was going to put this on yesterdays but forgot so here it goes. My holly is drenched with meltage that is now icicles. So since its Friday the 13Th why not.

I tried something new tonight a pomegranate mojito. Oh it was yummy. I don't drink much and a 6 pack of this stuff will probably last me many months but once in a while its a nice surprise.

Another late night at work so at home I did some therapy. My back ordered 365 kit from creating keepsakes arrived so I started filling things in. need to get all my picture printed now.



Do I look tired? of course so and chapped lips too. I haven't been drinking my water as much as I should because I was on my feet the last few days helping with things and working late so out come the chapped lips. But tomorrow is my friday YAHOOO

Another snowy like day. I passed this bush and there must have been 30 or so birds in it I could hear them chirping for a long ways. Just as I approached they got quiet. I was able to get one shot of the little guys and you can even spot a couple birds that were flying in there. wanted to get some pictures of hubby since it was his birthday but got home late from work and we just grabbed a quick pizza (his favorite) from round table and unwound from the day.


winter dandruff seriously I need to wash this away with some sunshine.

well two face pictures today hehe making up for lost time? no I went to the mother/student night at my nephew's school. My sister in law was out of town so I went Look what I made a balloon dog. It really was easier then I thought too.

ahhh the first sign of spring. My alum are starting to pop out of the ground. While we still have snow all over the place it seems strange to see but I am so glad. BRING on the sunshine. let the flowers start blooming.

Busy day today so not much for pictures. I did take my mom out to the casino and in the bathroom this mirror struck my fancy and I thought it would be a good shot for today. I normally take my mom out once a week so she can get her fix and its fun to spend time with her.

Duncan was due for a bath and he really really hates them. So hubby and I shanghaied him and cleaned him up. Looks and smells much better. He is truly a pampered pet.

A dear friend gave me this frame sometime ago. With NO picture in it. can you believe that? well I happen to snag one a while ago of several of my friends at a get together which I was unable to attend. I had it reprinted small enough to fit the frame. I think I will put this one at my work since I spend a good portion of my day there to remind me of their friendship.

Made a step towards a healthier me today. I went and saw a nutritionist. Sometimes you know what is right but it takes someone telling you what is right to actually do it. I did learn a bunch of things I didn't know before as well as I don't have to completely give up the things I love but rather adapt them to meet my needs.

Yahoo I got my tickets today for our trip the end of this month to las Vegas. Hubby and I will be heading for long weekend to enjoy ourselves together. We choose Vegas because its warmer there and lots to do. I get to see Bette Midler, someone that I have always wanted to see. Granted we have the cheap seats but none the less I am excited about it. Hubby grew up in Reno so he doesn't gamble but loves to see shows and attractions. we even hope to rent a car for a day and go for a long drive and maybe do some hiking.


water water everywhere its been raining for a few days and melting the snow YAHOO but stepping in puddles in unavoidable.

the start of another month and a little treat for us. Hubby and I had ice cream for lunch and it was yummy. my favorite is cheese cake with chocolate chips. Hubby has lemon sorbet with heath bars and we even brought one home for the kid peanut butter with chocolate chips.

well the snow is melting and some sad news it looks like for my yard. I have 3 rhododendrons in my front yard and two of them look like this one flattened and broken limbs. I guess 5 plus feet of snow is not good for some plants. I will try to cut them back when it gets a bit warmer and hope for the best but I don't have high hopes for 2 of them. I can probably save my red twig dogwood they actually seem to thrive when I cut them back but the rhodes grow so slow not sure that is going to work for them.


another month down and 10 to go gesh before you know it, it will be winter and snowing again ugh that is not a pleasant thought
