yeahh I finally got a picture of a robin. Oh the birds were so enjoying the sunshine today as I was.
Caught a bunch of them having a bath in the bird bath today as well.

well more then my one shot for the day but these three were my favorites. this little sparrow looks none to happy that the robin is there drinking.

double photo and no I didn't take it but that's just tough. LOL we were downtown at a training class all day long and went to lunch at the mall food court. well one of the local radio stations had their mascot there so I knew I just had to get my picture taken with the coyote. LOL

well the second month in the year is nearing an end its hard to believe. This time of year there are some awesome sunsets on my home. this is a view just 2 blocks from my house. Of course in real life it seems so much more awesome because its all around you. Not to mention I really hate it when I have to have a picture with a telephone pole in it. yeah I know I could photoshop it out but I am not about that kind of photography. And sorry another day with no self photo forgot again its been a heck of a week.

well not sure why I took this photo other then it I thought it was kinda cool reflecting the clouds and the fact that pot holes are popping up everywhere this one being in my parking lot at work. It is rather large too over two feet long. Guess it reflects the kind of day i was having pretty yucky.



it was cold and windy too here I am walking downtown it was suppose to be warmer then it was so i was totally wearing the wrong jacket wish made me none to happy.

well I am behind in posts plus I have forgotten to take a few days worth of me shots. probably a good thing because I have been exhausted. I did get the picture of the day taken for the days just need to upload them.

Today was rainy day which I am not going to complain about because its better then snow. but the sky coming home from work was awesome because of it. so I snapped this while driving because I knew I wouldn't make it home in time to get my real camera out.

I went to an uppercase living open house today and bought this for my front door. Its a vinyl lettering that goes on the door and I just LOVE how it looks on there. I had bought a phrase for my craft room and painted a board purple a while ago and I just love it. I also bought something to make for my son a drum set silhouette I hope he like it when I finish it.

well this was suppose to be just a face shot of me with my camera around my neck to see what the distance would look like. instead it sparked a conversation between my husband and myself about how my eyes look freaky. so is the left one always that shut?? I looked back and no so I wonder why then it is now?? hubby of course denies being able to see anything. smart man. lol

Today was hair cut day yahoo it needed it. I love the place I get my hair done at Laurie there is awesome. I go to Amy and Hair co on the north side. what is really cool is that it is in an apartment complexes club house. there is a little gift shop and I think racket ball courts in the back since I see them coming in with them. And this awesome place to sit and relax while you wait for your turn or if hubby comes along a place for him to read. I really liked how the fireplace reflected so much of the light.



whats a haircut without a haircut picture right?? well I tried to get both the front and the back. not the best but after 10 shots the little cameras battery was running low so this is the last one I decided on.

Today's picture is a card I am sending to my boss.

Today we had a shock at work. Our boss had been taken to the hospital with a heart attack. She is fine but it got me thinking how much she means to us and how much I appreciate her and her kindness in the workplace. I have known her for 12 years and while we don't always agree I am so glad I have her as a boss. It also got me thinking how you just never know in life what is around the next corner. so for my face picture I post a remind of your heart. well a heart above my heart I guess. Take care of yourself so that you can take care of those around you. get out and take that walk even if its only around the block. Don't let stress bottle up inside you find a way to release it. Life is precious and life is unpredictable, don't let a day go by without remembering that.

So you all know the title of my blog and my email is stampmouse. I have been stampmouse for at least 10 years now. but how did it come about?? well I have always been Mouse since I was a small girl. You see I am short well in some eyes in mine I didn't think I was short till I had joined the air force and barely made it in. Gesh isn't everyone 5'1"??? lol

I got the nickname mouse when I was about 2. I had very little hair and mom put it in a pony tail high on my head and an uncle commented how I looked like a mouse. well he said more but that's politically incorrect now so I wont say that on a public blog.

so blah blah blah now about the picture. since it is my nickname I have little mice all over my house. Most are gifts like above its a big paperweight. before computers i use to read ALL the time nonstop I swear now not so much. bad me.

SHOPPING. yep headed to the local mall today to get the hubby some shoes and what did I find but some good deals for MOI. First off I really don't like shopping so don't do it much. I just get very disappointed with trying things on and not finding what I like in a price I like. well today I scored. these pants at JC Penny were on the 75% off all ready reduced prices.
I got a $100 pair of pants for $5.40 with tax. they will need to be hemmed up to fit my legs but lucky for me I know an expert seamstress that will cost me nothing. Thank god for moms. lol



well there I am in all my glory or whatever you want to say. I am learning or trying to accept my appearance a little more. I thank a friend for passing on her friends 365 blog from a previous year. check it out lots of interesting self poses but what I love most is her last entry and what she discovered. I hope to feel more comfortable with myself by the end of this year as well.

Hubby and I spent the day together. First we went to one of our favorite places for a brunch. Old European recently moved from a smaller building to a larger one last occupied by Tony Roma's (my husband is missing their ribs) well this place is still very popular. Its mostly breakfast foods from Europe including my favorite Crepes. yummmy I adore crepes. And no not dirt on the lens it was lightly snowing outside. I am SOOOO sick of winter

After our 35 minute wait and full bellies we headed to the movies. We chose Coraline to see this year and we enjoyed it very much. I was to full to eat popcorn but of course that didn't stop me from buying one of my favorite foods and taking it home with me to much on later. And of course it was LOADED with butter. gotta love that self serve buttering


Can you tell if I am smiling or frowning?? hint look at the crows feet. lol

Happy Friday the 13th.

Thought about getting a picture of the number 13 but I went hiking at the local arboretum in the sun today instead. I had several shots but I liked this one best. I am not sure why but it looked so peaceful I guess.

I was talking about rocks today with a friend and how much I love them so thought I would show you a glimpse of some of my rocks. these are only the small rocks that I keep on the ledge going to the basement. We pick them up from where ever we go. I have larger rocks in my yard from places too. Hazards of being a rock hounds daughter I am afraid I adore rocks.




This rock actually has a fossil of leaf on it. We went fossil digging in republic a few years ago and dug up all kinds of fun fossils.

Many of them my husband has put names on the back of them. Probably so we can remember them when we are old and senile. lol

I wanted to make a special treat for some of my coworkers so i made these heart shaped brownies. they are about 3 or 4 inches in size and ooohhhh so yummy. I only have 3 of these pans. a set of pans I bought on discount at William Sonoma a couple of years ago. I think they were originally intended to for cheese cake but I have yet to use them for that.


Me licking the bowl. I don't like many sweets but I LOVE brownies especially soft warm and gooey ones.

Yes I adore my little Duncan and he is my favorite photo subject. lol he was waiting up for me last night. I spent 2 hours trying to get my voice mail to work through my computer. Never did get it working right hence the picture of me pulling my hair out.

It was a beautiful Sunday the sun came out for a bit though still cold there was some meltage going on yahoo. Meltage?? hmm probably not a real word but it works for me. Look you can even see a small bit of grass. YAHOOOO bring on spring.

The house was all mine this afternoon. Hubby and child both working and my intentions were to cleanup my stamp area. but after I put on Mamma Mia I got inspired and made a few cards. Of course that was in between bouts of spontaneous dancing around the room. nothing like dancing in a quiet house with the Abba music blaring. So for my self portrait shot I took a shot of me twirling. It took at least a half dozen shots to get it right by the time I was done I was very dizzy.

The sunset was gorgeous on my drive home from work. I was able to pull off the side of the road in time to catch this shot. When the sun goes down it goes down fast. On the opposite side of the car the moon was coming up. so I took a quick shot of that as well. almost a full moon

well this most certainly wont go down as my most exciting 365 day. I have no idea why but I spent about a half an hour taking pictures of this scentsy pot. In the dark in the light you name it. finally decided I liked this one best. I had a yummy sent called pumpkin roll brewing all night it was very calming. Had a crazy day and came home pretty keyed up. Thought about going for a run and then remembered oh yeah I hate running not to mention it was COLD out. ended up putting on the PJ's jabber jawing to the hubby and even did a little bit of stamping. Nice way to end the day and calm down.


What would an evening in PJ's be without slippers. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these slippers. this is my 2ND pair in 3 or 4 years. Hubby, thoughtful as always bought them for me they are down slippers (you can see a feather on the left one) and they keep my feet nice and toasty while in the basement. looks like I might have to get a new pair next year at the rate I am going
